    Breakfast was excellent, good service, good coffee

    The place is a little dumpy looking but the food and service was perfect

    Would definitely eat there again

    Stopped in here around 6pm on a Friday. We just needed a nosh to get us through to a late dinner in Westport.

    We ordered the patty melt with tots to split. It was okay. The burger patty was very well done, but the cheese and onions were perfectly filled on rye, so it worked for a quick bite.

    On Friday's, they have a prime rib special. Saw a guy eating this and it looked fabulous. In hindsight, we should have maybe ordered the French dip.

    Restaurant area is kind of small (6 4-tops and 5 bar stools at the counter) and dated, but so is the town!! Bar/lounge is separate and pretty dark with a few more tables in that area.

    No tap beer or micros here - just Black Butte and Alaskan Amber, and your host of "normal" American beers.

    I Noticed The Other Day The Blue Beacon Is Going To Open Back Up Soon. It Didnt Say When. Im A Senior, Just Moved Out Here From The Eastern Part Of The Country@ Visited That Place Once. My Visit There Was Terrible. The Place Was Dirty, Food Was Over Priced@ A Lot Of Drunk People There. If You Have A Brain In Your Head@ Any Self Respect For Yourself At All@ For Your Family, Be Wise@ DONT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. There Are Better Places To Go. Theres Nothing But Trouble There.  This Place Needs To Be Made Into A Clean Family Restaurant  Where You Can Bring Your Whole Family Into@ Enjoy Your Meal@ Evening@ With No Alchohol. The Way The Restaurant Was  In The Past Was The DEVILS HOME. PLZ THINK REAL HARD BEFORE YOU GO IN IF THEY REOPEN. Its Awful. I WONT GO BACK IN THERE UNLESS ITS UPGRADED TO A FAMILY PLACE. If You Do Go In And Its Like It Was In The Past, Theres Really Something Wrong With Your Brain, In My Opinion. Thats All I Have To Say. Ty

    I would not even give it one star.   The waitress cleared two tables while we were here.   Not one was wiped down.  The high chair was nasty/gross didn't look like it had been wiped down in about 6 months.  Also the food was overpriced and greasy.  Would never come here again.  Health department needs to shut it down!!

    The Beacon is a total town staple especially for breakfast and a good bloody mary! I love the atmosphere. Its a total hole in the wall but so comfy and great food!
